# Task templates

> Save a task configuration once and reuse it.

A `Template` captures a reusable task configuration so you do not re-enter everything each time. Find templates on the **Templates** tab under **Tasks**.

## Create a template

Select **Create Template** for a four-step wizard:

1. `Basic Information`: a `Template Name`, a `Description`, and optional scheduling `Tolerations` (a key plus an action of `NoSchedule`, `NoExecute`, or `PreferNoSchedule`).
2. `Resource`: a `Computing Config`; a framework (`Simple`, `PyTorch`, `MPI`, or `Deployment`; see Run a training job); a `Complete Machine Scheduling` toggle; a role table (roles, instances, `Resource Name`, GPU/CPU/Memory; `Simple` and `Deployment` use a single worker, `MPI` adds a master and allows up to six roles); a `Priority` (1 to 6); a `Reclaim Policy` toggle; an `Auto Retry` toggle; and `Storage` (a `Storage Volume` (`PVC`), an `Ephemeral Volume` in `GiB`, and `S3`; mount directories must be unique).
3. `Environment Configuration`: choose the image and runtime settings for the task.
4. `Overview`: review and create.

## Reuse a template

A created template lists with its `Task Type`, `Image Information`, `GPU Count`, `Resource Name`, and `Instances`. Start a new task from it instead of filling the form again.
